Undertaking and Managing Section 42 Enquiries
Event Type: Training
We have jointly commissioned with the Isle of Wight Council a digital solution in this essential area of practice. Whilst we are still limited to how learning can be delivered, we hope you will find this three-stage digital opportunity effective and accessible.
All learning opportunities are fully funded by both Isle of Wight Safeguarding Adult Board and the Isle of Wight Council to enable organisations to increase their confidence, knowledge and skills in this area which we hope will result in more effective communication with our local Safeguarding Team and improved partnership working.
Stage 1: View the range of virtual classroom dates available and submit an online application form via this link here – Undertaking and Managing Section 42 Enquiries These are delivered over two half day sessions and you MUST attend both dates so please ensure your availability before making a booking.
Stage 2: You will be sent a confirmation of your booking along with two important links. Delegates should click the links and MUST watch two podcasts which serve as pre-requisites to attending the virtual classroom dates. We recommend that you designate time in your diaries for these as you would for attending traditional physical events.
- An Introduction to Adult Safeguarding Podcast (approx. 35 minutes)
- Adult Safeguarding Enquiries Podcast (approx. 55 minutes)
Viewing these will help to ensure that all delegates will begin the virtual sessions with a similar level of knowledge and the discussions and content can then extend your understanding and skills in this area further.
Stage 3: Once you have watched the two podcasts and attended the two half-day virtual classroom events, you will be invited to attend a network session where you will join to join other organisations to discuss the challenges and share good practice.
