For managers directly supporting staff, it is particularly important that you think about your own emotional needs and what you need to support and maintain your own wellbeing at this time.
Take care of yourself.
Be honest and compassionate with yourself in how you are feeling.
Despite wanting to be there for your team, recognise that all good leaders need to have a break and get some rest.
Have others relieve and support you.
This also models good self-care to your team and psychologically permits them to rest when stood down too.
