We Value Your Feedback

The Isle of Wight Safeguarding Adults Board is committed to ensuring that safeguarding processes are effective, respectful, and centred around the needs of the individuals we serve. We believe that your experiences and insights are invaluable in helping us improve local services.

We invite you to share your feedback on your experience with the safeguarding process. Your input will help us make safeguarding personal and uphold the six principles of safeguarding: Empowerment, Prevention, Proportionality, Protection, Partnership, and Accountability.

Your Feedback Matters

Making Safeguarding Personal

Making Safeguarding Personal (MSP) means putting you at the heart of the safeguarding process. We want to hear about your experiences and how we can better support you and others in the future.

The Six Principles of Safeguarding

  1. Empowerment: People being supported and encouraged to make their own decisions and give informed consent.
  2. Prevention: It is better to take action before harm occurs.
  3. Proportionality: The least intrusive response appropriate to the risk presented.
  4. Protection: Support and representation for those in greatest need.
  5. Partnership: Local solutions through services working with their communities. Communities have a part to play in preventing, detecting, and reporting neglect and abuse.
  6. Accountability: Accountability and transparency in safeguarding practice.
