MARM Learning sessions for 2026

These MARM Learning sessions cover aspects of the Multi-Agency Risk Management process. Any agency, organisation or department can book the sessions.
Course trainer: Sarah Cooke, MARM Co-ordinator
Sarah has a wealth of knowledge and experience working in health and social care settings spanning 42 years. Her previous roles include Mental Health Act Manager, and Project & Programme Manager for the NHS. The MARM Co-ordinator role was introduced by the Isle of Wight Safeguarding Adults Board in 2019 and now sits with the IW Council’s Adult Safeguarding Team.

MARM – a Brief Overview

Course aims:
- To help staff understand the aims, purpose, and principles of MARM.
- This course will be useful to anyone working with adults who are experiencing an unmanageable level of risk as a result of circumstances which create the risk of harm.
‘MARM vs Safeguarding : Navigating the Complexities’
There are plans to introduce ‘MARM vs Safeguarding : Navigating the Complexities’ classroom-based training during 2026. The dates of the training will be confirmed.
