What is Multi-Agency Risk Management (MARM)?

MARM is a multi-agency approach, used where adults are at high risk of harm but don’t meet criteria for statutory adult safeguarding.

MARM brings together professionals from agencies like health, social care, police, housing and others. It can also include the adult at risk, their family, friends or other supporters involved in their life.

MARM helps the adult stay at the centre of the process. The framework helps professionals work together to understand risks and find ways to reduce them, particularly with complex cases.
